I've been a marathon runner since 3 Nov 2014 with Soweto Marathon being my debut 11 years ago in the colours of Nedbank. I've been running for Nedbank Running club since then with a slight detour in 2022. I returned to Nedbank in 2023 and I must say my blood has always been Green. Just in the last two years, I finished position 51 out of 4479 women that started the 86km uprun Comrades Marathon with a finish time of 7h30minutes and 26 seconds in 2024. This time won me a Comrades Team prize by being part of the 4 fastest women that were ranked position 1 in our age category. 

In 2025, I ran my 8th Two Oceans Ultra Marathon on the 5th April 2025. I came in 18th out of 3275-woman participant with a stellar time of 4h:14mins. And on the 8th of June, I finished at a time of 7h09 and 49 seconds, position 34 out of 3632 females that completed Comrades Marathon 2025. Another huge improvement year on year in the colours of Nedbank.

Part of my success is indeed the great association with the Nedbank Green Team. I do thank Nick Bester and Team for always being one email or WhatsApp away when I need supplements and even running shoes. This support goes a very long way as running has become a very expensive sport. Looking forward to more Green moments with the club.
