Feedback
"The Amsterdam Marathon was a great experience and
another step in the right direction towards my ultimate goal, the 2027 Comrades
Marathon.
I managed to improve my marathon personal best by
approximately three minutes, which I'm really happy about. I was hoping to run
slightly faster, but it was quite a challenging week leading up to the race.
My son was born a little earlier than expected during race
week, but thankfully he was 100% healthy, and we are incredibly grateful.
Overall, I felt good throughout the marathon, particularly
during the final 10 km, where I was able to pick up the pace and finish
strongly. Looking back, I probably could have pushed a little harder earlier in
the race.
My goal going into Amsterdam was to run a faster marathon
time, and I feel I've made good progress.
Looking ahead, I would love to run one more fast marathon
early in 2027 before shifting my full focus to the 2027 Comrades Marathon.
I'm satisfied with my
performance, happy with the progress I've made, and excited about what the
future holds."
