Nedbank SWD also hosted a special Comrades Milestone Breakfast, celebrating and recognising the achievements of their club's Comrades Marathon athletes - a fitting tribute to the dedication, perseverance and spirit of The Ultimate Human Race. Here's your full Weekend Results Round-Up, region by region.

NRC WESTERN PROVINCE (WPA)

It's hard to remember a bigger weekend for WPA than this one - a Ladies Elite debut, a clean sweep of team prizes, and strong cross country results all in the space of a few days.

Mykonos Half Marathon & 10km, Langebaan

Nicole van Wyk (Schoonbee) made an instant impact in her first race in green colours, taking the win in the Women's Half Marathon in 1:21:41 - a personal best on debut for the club's newest Ladies Elite athlete. Heidi de Jager was right there with her, finishing 2nd Female in 1:24:10, also a personal best.

Pinelands 10km

NRC WPA produced a remarkable achievement at the Pinelands 10km, sweeping both the Men's and Women's Team Prizes on the same morning. The Women's Team Prize went to Deanné Laubscher, Maretha Smit, Elmé Middlemost and Angela Dell, while the Men's Team Prize was claimed by Keano Qwili, Siya Centane, Marcelino Booysen and Greg Calothi. On the individual podiums, Deanné Laubscher topped the Open Women's race, Elmé Middlemost claimed 3rd in the Women's 40-49 category, Charmaine Cupido finished 2nd in the Women's 70-79 division, and Keano Qwili rounded out the results with 3rd place in the Open Men's race going sub 30 in a personal best of 29:45.

WPA Cross Country League 6, Protea Park, Gordon's Bay

Nedbank WPA filled podium positions in the following categories: Girls' Under-16, Zarah Lewis claimed 3rd, while Anneline Roffey topped the Women's 45-49 category with Rolandi Schutte adding 3rd in the same division. On the men's side, Abukiwe Mboxela finished 3rd in the Boys' Under-13, and Devonty Jacobs and Luke Rudolph went one-two in the Boys' Under-14. Joshua Schouw and Reagan Freeman also went one-two in the Boys' Under-17, Thabo Solani claimed 2nd in the Junior Men's race, and Riaan Wildschut claimed victory in the Men's 40-44 category.

NRC EASTERN PROVINCE (EPA)

It was an outstanding weekend for Nedbank EPA at the Bestmed Madibaz races in Gqeberha, with the club racking up an incredible 22 podium finishes across the 21km and 10km combined.

Bestmed Madibaz 21km, Gqeberha

Nedbank EPA athletes filled the podium across numerous categories. Andile Motwani claimed 2nd in the Overall Men's race, while Kelly van Vliet and Refeloe Solomons went 2nd and 3rd in the Overall Women's race. Kelly van Vliet also topped the Ladies 35-39 category, and Zolani Mabongo took the win in the Men's 40-49 with Mila Pasiya adding 3rd in the same category. Refeloe Solomons claimed the Ladies 40-49 title, August Esau finished 3rd in the Men's 50-59, and Sharon Jessop claimed 2nd in the Ladies 50-59. Christopher Mabengeza finished 2nd in the Men's 60-69, while Mariette Hattingh took the win in the Ladies 60-69 category. Raymond Weitz claimed victory in the Men's 70+ category, with Don Charles adding 3rd in the same division.

Bestmed Madibaz 10km, Gqeberha

Kylie Dorfling claimed 3rd in the Overall Women's race. Lubabalo Jusayi and Vuyisile Simayile finished 2nd and 3rd in the Men's 35-39, while Inge Williams and Babalwa Ngcoko went 1st and 2nd in the Ladies 35-39. Mzolisi Makhanda claimed 2nd in the Men's 40-49, and Xolile Ndingane and Lesley Koeseba went 1st and 3rd in the Men's 50-59. Christine Claasen rounded out the results with the win in the Ladies 60-69 category.

NRC GAUTENG (CGA)

TUT Corporate Race, AGN League 2026

Gauteng athletes dominated the podium at the TUT Corporate Race. Silvester KipKemboi Kipsang took the win over the 21.1km in 1:07:48, while Robert Kiprotich Chelang'a claimed 1st Veteran and 5th overall in the same race in 1:13:22. Mary Njuguna finished 2nd in the Open Women's race in 1:26:09 and Dalene Sonnekus claimed 1st in the 60+ category in 01:42:33. Over the 10km, Paseka Godfrey claimed 2nd in the 50+ category in 43:13.

Randburg Harriers Challenge 2026

Albert Kangor was in fine form over the 21.1km, finishing 3rd overall and claiming 1st place in the Veteran category in 1:13:02.

NRC KWAZULU-NATAL (KZN)

Social Runners Club, Durban

It was a superb weekend for Nedbank KZN at the Social Runners Club races. Namakoe Nkhasi topped the 21km field, finishing 1st overall and 1st in the Men's 20-34 category in a swift 1:03:45, while Benjamin Nyongesa also flew the flag high, finishing 4th in 1:05:05. Nokuthula Ntshangase also flew the club's colours proudly, finishing 2nd in the Open Women's 21km race in 1:29:01. Victor Lapit claimed 3rd place over the 10km in 30:10, and Victor wasn't done there - he backed up his podium finish with a second race later that same afternoon, taking the win at the Ethekwini District Cross-Country 10km. Two races, two results, in a single day.

Vryheid 10km

Musawenkosi Nsibande put in a great performance at the Vryheid 10km, crossing the line in 39:56 to claim 2nd place in the Overall Women's race - a strong result and another proud moment for the club's KZN contingent.

NRC FREE STATE (NEDBANK BY GRACE)

Cross Country League 6

Team By Grace put in superb performances as they continued building towards the Free State Championships. Karabo Monyaki claimed victory in the Girls' Under-14 category in 16:11, while Jan-Hendrik Slabbert claimed 2nd in the Boys' Under-16 in 22:28. Molebeng Mohapi finished 2nd in the Girls' Under-17 in 16:52, and Omphile Letshabo claimed 2nd in the Men's Under-23 in 13:13. Thabang Mathosa finished 2nd in the Senior Men's 10km in 34:47, and Thabo Tsehlana claimed 3rd in the Senior Men's 2km in 7:17. On the women's side, Maryna Swanepoel topped the Senior Women's 10km in 48:18, Boipelo Malebo claimed 2nd in the Women's Under-23 in 17:30, and Este van Tonder took the win in the Women's 40-44 category in 15:29 with Anna Moeketsi adding 2nd in the same division in 17:40.

NRC ZIMBABWE

Tabitha Tsatsa claimed 1st Master and 4th overall at the Airforce of Zimbabwe 21km in 1:42:13.

FURTHER ACHIEVEMENTS

Rika Rossouw added another string to her bow this week, taking 1st place at a cross duathlon event - further proof of her outstanding all-round form after her recent SA Duathlon Championship title.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT

A lovely moment took place at the Nedbank SWD Comrades Milestone Breakfast - not a race, but a celebration honouring their members' Comrades Marathon journeys, dedication and remarkable achievements. Lloyd Bosman, Nerida Lubbe, Carla Spangenberg, Eddie Mouton, Una Saayman and Jason Jafta were recognised for their incredible Comrades achievements and milestones achieved.

Elsewhere, Ipeleng "Crazy Legs" Khunou featured in a studio interview on Radio 2000's The Soul Clinic with Dr Tumi, speaking about what fuels him both physically and spiritually. It is always special to see our athletes' stories reaching an even wider audience.
