Elite Comrades Team Final Preparations

Back in Dullstroom, our Elite Green Team wrapped up their Comrades Marathon training camp as they entered the final stages of preparation for the Ultimate Human Race.

National Manager Nick Bester joined the camp for several days as the athletes completed their final sharpening sessions ahead of Comrades Marathon. The team looked strong, healthy, and focused as they fine-tuned their race readiness.

NRC SWD George Hosts Successful Comrades Send-Off

In George, Nedbank Running Club SWD hosted a successful and well-attended Comrades Marathon Send-Off function.

Members and supporters gathered to celebrate and encourage the club's Comrades runners, with renowned coach Bruce Fordyce sharing valuable insights and inspiration as the guest speaker.

We wish all our Comrades runners safe travels and the very best for race day.

 

Nedbank Green Team Dominates uRun+ Skosana Legend Race on Saturday 30 June 2026

The Green Team painted the podiums green at the uRun+ Skosana Legend Race in Gauteng, producing an impressive collection of podium finishes across the 5km, 10km and 21.1km distances.

Strong Performances at the Phantane Durban Street Mile

The Nedbank Running Club KZN Durban athletes produced another impressive showing at the Phantane Durban Street Mile on Sunday.

In the 10km race:

* Benjamin Nyongesa finished 4th Overall Male in 29:59.

* Victor Lapit finished 6th Overall Male in 30:32.

* Nokuthula Ntshangase claimed 3rd Overall Female in 38:50.

 

NRC CT Cape Town Athletes Shine at UWC Fast & Flat 10km

Nedbank Running Club WPA athletes continued their excellent form at the UWC Fast & Flat 10km in Cape Town.

Elmé Middlemost claimed the Overall Women's title and was also the first veteran athlete across the line.

Hannelie Lötter secured 2nd Veteran Woman, while Charmaine Cupido finished 3rd in the Women 70-79 category.

Anthony Grendon added another podium finish to the weekend's tally by winning the Men 60-69 category.

 

NRC GGA Johannesburg Athlete Claims Category Victory

In Johannesburg, NRC CGA athlete Tebogo Mokgoshyane produced an excellent performance, finishing 4th Overall Female while claiming victory in the Women 40-49 category in a time of 43:36.
