The past week proved to be an exceptionally busy and successful period for the club, with members competing across a range of distances from the ten kilometer sprint to the fifty kilometer ultra marathon. Athletes represented the club at several premier events nationwide, securing numerous podium finishes and top ten placements. 

The dedication shown on the roads this weekend highlights the depth of talent within our ranks and the effectiveness of our current training programs.

At the Miway Wally Hayward Marathon, Thomas Esito Ekiru secured a third place finish in the men's forty-two kilometer race with a time of 02:26:21. In the women's ten kilometer category, Shanike Jordaan took first place after crossing the line in 00:38:19. The Rhodes Quality Half Marathon also saw strong performances, with Lloyd Bosman taking third place in 01:06:17 and Selwyn Matthews following in fourth place at 01:09:15. For the women in the twenty-one kilometer race, Heidi De Jager earned second place with a time of 01:24:40 while Elme Middlemost finished in ninth place in 01:29:45. Rolandi Schutte added to the tally by finishing third in the women's ten kilometer event in 00:42:07.

The Lemo Mall Mangaung Marathon featured a large number of club runners. In the men's marathon, Namakoe Nkhasi finished in fourth place with a time of 02:24:12 and Maphuti Majetja took ninth place in 02:29:24. The women’s marathon saw Michelle Dykman finish third in 03:00:28, followed by Moleboheng Matabane in sixth place at 03:14:25, Anna Moeketsi in eighth place at 03:20:31, and Rethabile Kanono in tenth place at 03:23:10. In the twenty-one kilometer men's race, Omphile Letshabo placed fifth in 01:10:17 and Mojalefa Makhukhule placed ninth in 01:14:55. The women’s half marathon results included a second place finish for Reitumetse Thethana in 01:24:41 and a third place finish for Nokuthula Ntshangase in 01:26:52. In the ten kilometer event, Bongani Hlongwane took eighth place for the men in 00:33:52, while the women saw Dineo Dithakono finish sixth in 00:43:20, Zanmarie Swanepoel finish eighth in 00:44:15, and Boipelo Malebo finish ninth in 00:44:25.

Results continued to roll in from the Durban International Marathon, where Simon Sibeko claimed third place in 02:13:11 and Benjamin Nyongesa finished tenth in 02:17:05.

At the N12 Ultra Marathon, Puseletso Mofokeng took fourth place in 02:49:49 while Sifiso Nqumakhwe finished seventh in 02:53:58. Likeleli Majara won the women's marathon in 03:18:36. In the half marathon, Tebogo Mokgosinyane took first place in 01:28:05 and Jessica Groenewald took third place in 01:33:51. The ten kilometer race saw Olebogeng Ndakane finish seventh in 00:38:54 and Lenthe Maré finish second for the women in 00:48:15.

The Balwin Properties False Bay 50 KM saw Deanné Laubscher take third place in 03:47:50, followed by Nerida Lubbe in fourth place at 04:12:09 and Sarah Silber in fifth place at 04:21:10.
In the ten kilometer event, Keanu Qwili secured first place in 00:31:50 and Lunico Royi finished ninth in 00:37:08.

At the Colgate Road Race 2026, Chrizell Roberts won the women's thirty-two kilometer race in 02:17:16, and Jacqueline Lotter took second place in the fifteen kilometer race in 01:07:36.

Finally, at the Polokwane City 50km Ultra Marathon, Robert Kiprotich Chelang'a finished in fourth place overall and first in the veteran category. Thomas Esito Ekiru finished sixth overall and second in the veteran category. Gladys Jepchirchir Cheruiyot finished the event in second place overall and first in the veteran category.

The club extends its congratulations to every athlete who competed this weekend. These results reflect the hard work and discipline maintained throughout the season. Whether it was a podium finish or a successful completion of a debut distance, each performance contributes to the club’s growing reputation on the national circuit.
