Over the weekend our athletes took part in various road and track events.

22 of our Under 15 and 13 took part in a Pick and Pay 2.5km and 5km on
Saturday in Noordgesig. All I can say is the future is bright, our boys and
girls finished in the top 10 in the races. There were over 400 kids who
participated.

Later in the day, I went to the Track and Field for seniors in Pretoria.
Lizerrie Ferreira finished 4th in senior women 1500m running 4:30. Cornelia
Jourbert was 6th in 5000m on Friday. On Saturday she won the 10000m in 35:49
lapping all the athletes in that race.

Cornelia went to Birchwood to run the 21km where she won the race in 76
minutes yesterday.

This afternoon after training I will be taking the development athletes to
UJ stadium as we were invited to go and watch Varsity athletics. This will
surely serve as inspiration to these youngsters since some of the country's
top TF athletes will be there.
