Club person for September ‘21 - Jason Bowers

Once again Jason Bowers was elected as our club person for September ’21. Reason why he was chosen was for the winning of the gold medal for Junior men at the ASA Cross Country Championships which was held in Amanzimtoti. Well done Jason for your achievement and you’re making us proud.

Road Running

Great news for the road running fraternity is that there will be a Comrades marathon on the 28th of August 2022. This mean that quite a number of road races will be hosted in 2022 and that is surely something that all our road runners are longing for. Now is the time to start training again and to get ready for 2022.

We are currently busy planning our next Nedbank fun run series and will keep all our members updated. We promise that it will be something special.

The ASA 10km championships will take place in Durban on the 31st of October ’21 and after the trials held on the 10th of October ’21 the following athletes from Nedbank Running Club were chosen to represent Athletics Vaal Triangle in the championships.

  • Jason Bowers J-18 (qualifying time 29:12)
  • Peter Muthubi V-40 (qualifying time 29:18)
  • Sampie Mokgatla V-40 (qualifying time 33:35)
  • Tsietsi Mokoena M-50 (qualifying time 38:11)

We want to wish you all of the best for the championships and we know you will make us proud.
