Looking Ahead

As we restart the club runs after the adjusted regulations due to the third wave COVID infections. We urge you to be vigilant and adhere to COVID protocols whenever.

The Committee will revisit the Social and running calendar and we will continue to share updates on our social media platforms, to ensure we can provide a sufficient safe running opportunity for all during the rest of the year.

You may have entered the Cape Town Marathon, which leaves approximately 9 weeks remaining to the race date (17 October 2021). If you did, be sure to join the scheduled club runs, hill and speed sessions in preparation for this event.

Members still not comfortable to join club runs can do Time Trials on their own and upload runs as per usual on:

Strava under the Nedbank Johannesburg Group and the quick capturing google forms are available for your benefit, results and pictures that have been submitted will be uploaded on our website. Remember to post and Tag the club on all socials.

An Optimist, can be defined as: Someone who figures that taking a step backward after taking a step forward is not a disaster; it's more like a cha-cha.”– Robert Brault

Let’s try to remain optimistic and dance through the rain until the sun appear again.

Lest we forget the family members, friends, colleagues, and fellow runners we lost during the pandemic. Our thoughts and prayers, for a full and speedy recovery are with everyone, still fighting this illness.

Been there, run that

On behalf of NRC CG I would like to thank, Liz & Iain Ruckbie as well as Mahendra Dedasaniya, for their commitment and input as valued committee members who has or will sadly leave the shores of the country and therefore vacate the current committee roles. We wish them well in their new personal and professional commitments and know they will be running in NRC CG colours and become new ambassadors abroad.

Tail-end Charlie
