Comrades Marathon Dress code
We are pleased to announce that 686 Nedbank Running Club athletes have qualified for the 2011 Comrades Marathon.
We decided to make Comrades this year a NEDBANK GREEN affair. We advise all Nedbank athletes that do not have this already to make sure they get themselves the official Nedbank Green Club t-shirts, track-suits and caps. We recommend that all of you must be wearing the official Nedbank Green Running Club long or short sleeve t-shirts and Track suits in Durban and at the Comrades expo. Boxer shorts can be worn if it is hot.
Seconding point.
We again will have a special Green Nedbank seconding point on the Comrades route to be utilized by any paid up member of the Nedbank Running Clubs country wide.
This seconding point ,consisting of a Green Nedbank gazebo and Nedbank feather flags will be at the end of the NEDBANK GREEN MILE plus minus at the 61 kilometre board. We will also have 32GI energy drinks and low 32GI chews available at this point.Look out for the helpers at the tent-they will be wearing t-shirts branded with 32GI as well as the Nedbank running Club logo.
You can leave your special drink, bag with food and energy foods, dry shoes or clothing,etc. at the expo on the Saturday 28 May 2011 at the Nedbank booth

Serious Comrades top 20 competitors.
Those runners that are going to try and finish amongst the top 20 in the mens as well as womans race will be able to make use of our special seconding team. They will be at every 10 kilometer as from the 20 kilometer mark.Please call Adriaan on 082 847 9727 to arrange. We will have a special seconding meeting at the Elangeni hotel on Saturday that you must attend and where you can deliver your special drinks and food for the race. Please remember to clearly mark your stuff with your race number and name written on it.
Nedbank Running Club Green Hospitality site at the finish
We will use the same caterers as the last two years to host us at the finish. Come to our national Nedbank Running Club marquee tent to celebrate your race and to exchange war stories with fellow athletes. We will make sure our top National as well as International Comrades athletes will come to the tent as well for you to meet them.
The menu will consist out of a piece of chicken, boerewors, pap and gravy, a roll and potato salad as well as Pepsi and a variety of beers.
We want to issue a special request to all Nedbank runners to visit the Marquee because your specific Nedbank Club is paying in advance for the catering and we do not want to to sit with left over food and drinks.
Please be assured-we will be catering for all members of the Nedbank Running Clubs no matter if you confirmed your attendance or not before the time with your club administrator. Every one is most welcome.
