What an incredible weekend of racing for the Nedbank Running Club! Our athletes delivered exceptional performances across multiple events, bringing home podium finishes and personal victories that make us all proud.
At the Johnson Crane Hire Marathon, Puseletso Mofokeng claimed 3rd place in the men's 42km with a strong 02:23:43, while Msawenkosi Mthalane finished 4th in 02:26:18. Our women dominated the marathon distance, with Gladys Jepchirchir taking 1st place in 02:58:49, followed closely by Adele Broodryk in 2nd with 02:59:20. Bernadene Mcloud secured 4th place in 03:08:54, and Chrizell Roberts rounded out our top finishers in 5th with 03:15:49. In the half marathon, Lucky Mohale finished 4th in the men's race with 01:08:23, while Shanice Peens claimed 5th in the women's division with 01:26:58. Lauren Kruger represented us in the 10km women's race, finishing 4th in 00:49:46.
The Johannes Mosehla Challenge saw more outstanding results, with Ngonidzashe Noube taking 2nd place in the men's 32km with an impressive 01:49:11, and Thompson Magagane finishing 9th in 02:16:48. Annie Chirisa delivered a commanding performance, winning 1st place in the women's 32km with 02:15:02.
At the Wonderpark Akasia Road Race, Slindile Chilli secured 2nd place in the women's 42.2km with 03:18:04, while Jackson Ole Koisenge finished 2nd in the men's 21.1km with 01:07:19.
The Shalom Half Marathon saw Ntuthuko Maseko claim 3rd place in 01:15:44 and Kabelo Maseko finish 5th in 01:24:49.
Our trail runners also shined at the Hope Church 10km Trail Run, with Melissa van Rensburg taking 1st place in the women's category, while Lloyd Bosman claimed 1st and Selwyn Matthews secured 2nd in the men's division.
Finally, Kelly van Vliet brought home a fantastic 2nd place finish at the Colchester 10km.
