Nedbank Running Club Shines Across Weekend Races
August 19, 2025
It was another weekend of great performances for Nedbank Running Club athletes, with podium results across Joburg and KwaZulu-Natal.

Totalsports Women’s Race:

Ethiopia’s Selam Gebre ran to victory in the 10km, crossing the finish line in 33:26.
“I’m tired from my travels and could feel it in my legs this morning. There was one runner with me for a big part of the race. I just had to keep moving. The runner got tired and dropped off. I kept going. The course was tough. I am very happy to be first today. It motivates me for my next event.”

She was joined on the podium by Debrah Cherotich, who claimed 3rd place in 34:19.

In the age-category, Taryn Snyman secured 3rd place in the 40+ category, Ingrid Koster took 2nd in the 50+ category, and Dalene Sonnekus finished 2nd in the 60+ category.
