June 24, 2025
It was a busy weekend of racing for Nedbank Running Club athletes, with strong showings across the country and internationally. Here’s how the team performed:

SPAR Women’s Challenge – Durban

10km Elite Race:

  • – Diniya Abaraya – 32:09

Diniya Abaraya: “It was wonderful weather and good conditions. We pushed one another, and I'm happy with the results. I want to congratulate Glenrose on this great achievement.”

  • – Selam Gebre – 32:25

Selam Gebre: “I was feeling a bit under the weather. I had a severe headache and I couldn't control myself. I had to push myself and see how far I could go, and I managed to finish 3rd, so it's a bonus for me and I'm very happy with the result.”

5km:

  • – Tao Challenor – 22:25

Solid performances from our women in Durban, with two podium finishes in the 10km elite race and a top-3 in the 5km.
