From major city races to scenic regional runs, the Green Dream Team made its mark yet again. With cold weather hitting most provinces this past weekend, running conditions were not ideal, but many despite this overcame and delivered great performances.

ABSA RUN YOUR CITY Cape Town 10K
 

Women:

• Selam Gebre finished 2nd overall in 32:13, continuing her excellent form against a top-tier field.

Junior Men:

• Jemal Ararse took 1st place in the junior category with a time of 29:32.
• Regardt Hattingh followed closely behind in 2nd with 31:03.

Modderfontein Half Marathon

21km Men:

• Kabelo Melamu secured 1st place in 1:08:49.
• Keagan Botha placed 6th in 1:18:14.

21km Women:

• Shanice Peens finished 2nd in 1:27:43.
• Tebogo Mokgosinyane claimed 3rd place in 1:32:07.

10km Women:

• Kelly-Lynn Barkley came 5th in 42:22.
• Danielle Blom finished 10th in 47:31.

Selati Marathon 2-in-1 (10km)

Men:

• Rodney Manyise finished 9th overall in 1:19:26, placing 2nd in his age category.

Women:

• Simone Odendaal secured 3rd place with a time of 1:38:49.

Rocky Nice & Easy Half Marathon (10km)

Men:

• Alex Sello claimed 1st place in 29:22.

Women:

• Ronel Neeleman placed 9th with a time of 49:28.

VW Health Run (Gqeberha)
Nedbank athletes dominated both the 21.1km and 10km events.

21.1km Men:

• Andile Motwana took 1st place in 1:06:07.
• Sibahle Maqwara followed in 2nd with 1:08:15.
• Rodney Prins finished 9th in 1:13:42.

21.1km Women:

• Refeloe Solomons took top spot in 1:24:15.

10km Men:

• Oyama Ntantiso placed 4th in 31:30.

10km Women:

• Ntombesintu Mfunzi won in 38:42.
• Kelly van Vliet secured 2nd place in 38:59.

Pentagon Pistol 32km (Bloemfontein)

• Chabeli Nyedimane earned 3rd place in 1:57:24.

Hoekwil Running Festival
 

21km Men:

• Lloyd Bosman took 1st place in 1:07:17.
• Francois Maquassa followed in 2nd with 1:08:49.

21km Women:

• Melissa van Rensburg won the women’s race in 1:25:48.

10km Men:

• Selwyn Matthews finished 1st.
