The Nedbank Running Club will experience #UltimateHydration with THIRSTI in full support of the country’s acclaimed athlete’s

The natural spring water brand known and loved as THIRSTI is delighted to announce their partnership with the Nedbank Running Club as their official water partner.

THIRSTI Head of Marketing Michelle Lillico elaborates on the partnership;

“The Nedbank Running Club is a professional club, producing results week in and week out. The athletes are inspirational in their thirst for life: their passion for health and wellness being one that we at THIRSTI resonate with. As the official hydration partner to the Comrades Marathon, as well as title and product partner to the THIRSTI AfricanX trail run series, it made sense for us as a brand to rally behind the runners and quench their thirst as they rack up their mileage and do what they love.”

Beginning in 2000 the Harmony Gold Athletics Club  changed to the Nedbank Running Club in 2008 and has subsequently cemented itself as the leading professional running team in the country. From prestigious events such as the Comrades Marathon and Paris International Marathon, the green vests of the team have crossed the finish line first multiple times. Started and managed by former Comrades Marathon winner Nick Bester, the team boasts 5000 members around the country and in neighbouring African countries such as Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia and Kenya.

“It’s so pleasing that THIRSTI has come on board as the official water partner to our athletes,” said Bester. “The importance of staying well hydrated is critical in any athletes day to day goings, whether they are elite or social.”

THIRSTI Managing Director Rob Hoatson concludes;

“It’s important that South African’s know that THIRSTI is a brand that is proud of our people, their health and their goals. We believe that our sponsorship portfolio paints this picture whilst ensuring that our brand remains top of mind and the ultimate in hydration. We want people to experience THIRSTI in the spaces where they are living and loving life.”
