The Nedbank Running Club in George (SWD) is the biggest club in the South Western District. provice with a total of 600 runners. This increase of membership of over 6.35% growth is a clear indication of the passionate leadership of the club committee under the Chairmanship of Daniel Raubenheimer.

There are 2 distances to choose from to cater for every fitness level of athlete namely a 3km and 5km, where fast times can be recorded on this flat route.
The usual attendance figures on Tuesdays range between 30 to 90 athletes and a record field of 182 runners. This is one of a few clubs where your timing at the time trial is done with an Ipico chip timing system and they have used this also in all the races the last 8 years.
The club also hosted long training runs where the main focus is for important races like the Two Oceans and Comrades Marathons. Club runs are also organised on weekends when there are no races in the SWD Province.
The club Gazebo is present at all the major races in the SWD Province where club members are treated with refreshments after the races.
The Nedbank Running Club SWD has a well structured development program in place.
As part of the Development program they assist talented runners with transport and entry fees.
The top podium athletes are supported with running gear, track suits, race entry fees, and incentives.
The Nedbank Running Club in George cater for all kind of runners, social as well as development and top runners.
Any one is welcome to visit the Nedbank Running Club SWD, even if you are not a member of the Nedbank Running Club.
