Over the weekend saw over 90 of Nedbank Running Club athletes lining up in the Central Gauteng Cross Country Championships at the Kagiso Sports Complex.

The Nedbank Running Club athletes did not disappoint as they came out to show they are prepared for the SA Championships taking place next month in Potchefstroom.

One of the highlights was the men's 10km race where 6 of the Nedbank Running Club athletes finished in the top 10 taking the first 3 positions. David Manja of the Nedbank Running Club CNW led from the first lap to win overall, however he could not claim the gold as it was the provincial Championships him being from North West. His team mates from the Nedbank Running Club Soweto claimed gold and silver, Precious Mashele 1st and Ntsindiso Mphakathi 2nd.

On Sunday, Nedbank Running Club Soweto athletes lined up at Pirates 10km and painted the podium Green by claiming the first 3 positions in both themen and woman races.
