Nedbank Running Club Soweto development

Nedbank Running Club Soweto runners participated in the last Cross country league held in Alberton Dam this past Saturday. Our runners seem to be peaking at the right time of the season. The notable winners were Thato Tsotetsi in 8km junior’s boys, his team mates Tshepo Majwafi and Tshwanelo Mojokeng   finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Derocious Makhobalo was victorious in the 12KM men race. Most athletes finished in the top 10 in their respective races. We hope our juniors will repeat the feat in Central Gauteng Champs that will be taking place on the 16 August 2014 in Boksburg.

Derocious also won the HFPA OLD Eds 21km on Sunday in 1:09. Zongamele Dyubeni (31:41) won the 10KM race and in 2nd position was Lebogang Khonkhobe (31:54).

Udelle de Winnaar was the 1st lady in the 10km walk in 61:18.
